Alternative winter holiday

Many of the beautiful hiking trails are also accessible in winter with snow shoes. Do you feel more like skating? Then the best you can do is to visit Fiè lake, because there you can also rent spontaneously your ice-skates. Open to the public is also the ice rink at Telfen. There, however, you need to bring with you your own skates. On the Siusi Alp winter walkers find over 30 kilometers of winter hiking trails with the most unique mountain scenery of the Dolomites. Traditions in winter
If you want to take it easier, place a visit to the Christmas market in Castelrotto. In January the program includes the “Hoazetkuchl” (Castelrotto peasant wedding), where you can admire a solemn procession of horse-drawn sleighs and peasant costumes.
